Account Deletion
How to delete your Resto Intelligence account, what is removed, what is kept, and how workspace deletion differs.
Delete your account in the app
Sign in, open Account Security from your personal settings, and use Delete account. You will be asked to type an exact confirmation phrase and confirm separately, and the service will ask you to verify your sign-in again if it was not verified recently.
This is the fastest route and it completes the deletion immediately once the checks pass.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@restointelligence.com and ask for account deletion. Include the email address you sign in with so the request can be matched to an account. We will verify that you control that address before deleting anything.
Deleting your identity is not deleting the restaurant
These are different things, and only the first is available to you directly:
- Deleting your account removes your personal Resto identity, ends your sessions on every device, and revokes your access to every workspace.
- It does not delete the restaurant's workspace, its schedules, its sales history, or any other business record. Those belong to the restaurant.
- If you are the only Owner of a workspace, deletion is blocked until ownership is transferred or another active Owner exists, so a restaurant cannot be left without an administrator.
- To delete a restaurant workspace itself, the workspace Owner must contact support@restointelligence.com; workspace closure is handled as a separate, verified request.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in identity and profile record are deactivated and your external sign-in identifiers are replaced with irreversible digests.
- All of your sessions, registered devices, and workspace memberships are revoked.
- Where we hold the necessary credential, the connected sign-in provider account is deleted as part of the request.
Sign in with Apple
Resto does not currently hold the Apple credentials required to revoke an Apple authorization on your behalf, so we do not claim to revoke it. If you signed in with Apple, remove Resto yourself: open Settings on your Apple device, choose your Apple Account, then Sign in with Apple, select Resto Intelligence, and choose Stop Using Apple Account. The result of the attempt is shown to you in the app rather than assumed.
What is kept, and why
Some records survive deletion because they exist to protect people, meet obligations, or keep the restaurant's books intact:
- Evidence of legal agreements you accepted, including which version and when.
- Security and privacy audit records, which are append-only by design.
- The restaurant's business records, including operational history the restaurant is responsible for retaining.
- Immutable point-of-sale source evidence used for reconciliation, audit, and dispute handling. Workforce records inside that evidence may include contact details supplied by the point-of-sale system, and we will not claim they were erased when they were not.
- Backups are replaced on their own cycle, so a deleted record can persist in a backup until that backup expires.
Timing and questions
In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Where a connected provider cleanup cannot complete at that moment, the app tells you it is still pending and it is retried; your Resto access is already revoked either way.
A published retention schedule with exact periods for retained categories is being finalized and will be added here rather than estimated.
