How to read this page

A subprocessor processes customer information on our behalf, under our contract. A customer-selected integration is a service the restaurant connects itself; information flows to it at the restaurant's direction, under the restaurant's own relationship with that provider. The two are not the same and are listed separately.

Subprocessors we engage

  • Amazon Web Services — hosting, managed database, cache, queues, object storage, encryption key management, and content delivery. Processes all categories of service data.
  • Clerk — authentication for customer sign-in, including Google, Apple, and Microsoft sign-in and email codes, and delivery of invitation and sign-in-code email. Processes account identifiers and email addresses.
  • Sentry — error monitoring. Receives error reports scrubbed of request bodies, headers, cookies, and message content, and browser session replays that are recorded only on error with text, inputs, and media masked.

Subprocessors engaged only when a feature is enabled

These are used only where the corresponding feature is switched on for a deployment and, for the AI providers, only where the acting user has recorded consent for that feature in that workspace.

  • Google Cloud — Document AI for reading uploaded supplier invoices, and generative image models for AI image generation.
  • Nous Research — the model router used by the Resto AI assistant, together with the underlying model vendor reached through it. The routed vendor is disclosed in the in-product AI disclosure for that feature.
  • Twilio — outbound transactional text messaging for restaurants that have been assigned a messaging number. Marketing text messaging is not enabled.

Customer-selected integrations

  • Toast, Square, and Clover — point-of-sale systems the restaurant already uses. Resto reads operational records from them with the restaurant's authorization.

Changes

We will update this page when the list changes. Restaurants with a written agreement that provides for advance notice of subprocessor changes will receive it as that agreement requires. Questions: privacy@restointelligence.com.
